Understanding the Timeline

First, note that there's 24 hours of downtime before the Tuesday reset, so you only have until next Sunday to prepare.

Bounty Prep 

Bounty prep is crucial since the raid releases just three days after the expansion drops. Completing bounties without turning them in lets you bank experience for the new season. Here's how to prioritize:

1. Weekly Bounties: These offer the most experience.

   - Dreaming City: The Ascendant Challenge weekly bounty resets weekly.

   - Cosmodrome: Shaw Han's weekly bounties.

   - Europa: Two weekly bounties.

   - Moon: Two weekly bounties from Eris and two more from Lectern of Enchantment.

   - Neomuna: One weekly bounty.

   - Starhorse: The gold bounty is ideal, but silver is also good.

   - Clan Bounties: These are technically weekly and provide substantial experience.

2. Daily Bounties: Fill the rest of your slots with these.

3. Avoid Ritual Bounties: Bungie is updating the ritual reward system, so these bounties will be removed.

- Avoid repeatable bounties as they provide minimal XP.

- Don't hoard more than 7 Crucible/Vanguard/Gambit bounties as extras will be abandoned.

Manage your resources

1. Spend Legendary Shards: These will be removed without compensation.

   - Buy from Xur: Grab whatever he offers.

   - Phantasmal Fragments: Exchange for Glimmer via the Cryptarch.

2. Raid Banners: Stock up on these, as they cost Legendary Shards and will be useful.

3. Exotic Ciphers: Essential for upgrading fully masterworked exotic armor with an artifice mod slot in The Final Shape. Obtain them from Xur's quest.

4. Exotic Engrams: Fill your engram slots with these to max out your Cryptarch reputation when the expansion drops. Do not claim them from the season pass until The Final Shape.

5. Spoils of Conquest: Save these for purchasing new raid weapons.

6. Starhorse Reward Boxes: Stock up on these for light level progression after the expansion drops.

Other preparations

1. Deep Sight Harmonizers: Save these in your season pass for use on new raid weapon patterns.

2. Pantheon Completion: Get Spoils of Conquest from this activity.

3. Understand Buffs and Nerfs:

   - Weapon Changes: Pulse rifles are getting significant buffs.

   - Ability Adjustments: Changes to Well of Radiance, Titan bubble, and Berserker Titan.

   - Armor Tweaks: Updates to Warlock exotics like Sanguine Alchemy and Sunbracers.
