Destiny 2,

Now, Bungie has given us some insight into the weapon archetype changes that are coming.  In this guide, we'll focus on the biggest winners: the weapon archetypes and exotic weapons that will see massive increases in damage and functionality.

With these upcoming changes, it’s time to prepare your arsenal. Pulse rifles and trace rifles are set to dominate, and several exotic weapons will become incredibly powerful. Make sure to have these weapons ready, and consider crafting or upgrading them now.

Pulse rifles are receiving a substantial boost:

-Base PvE Damage Increase: 20% against all combatants (excluding Graviton Lance and Revision Zero’s heavy burst mode).

- Additional Damage Buff: 15% more damage against red bars, on top of the global buff.

- Combined, pulse rifles will do approximately 38% more damage to red bars.

- Exotic pulse rifles will see even greater effectiveness.

Recommended Pulse Rifles

1. Bad Juju: This pulse rifle will become incredibly effective with its massive damage boost, making it great for ad clearing and generating Super energy.

2. Collective Obligation: Excellent for void builds, especially if void debuffs are prevalent next season.

3. Outbreak Perfected: Recently made craftable, with enhanced perks like Rapid Hit and Rewind Rounds, it will excel against yellow bars with its increased damage.

Legendary Pulse Rifles

1. Blast Furnace: This pulse rifle, farmable in Onslaught, can get the unique roll of Kinetic Tremors + One for All, making it highly effective with the new damage boost.

2. Adhortative: With rolls like Heal Clip + Incandescent, it’s already powerful and will become even more so with the damage increases.

3. OMGA PR6: With Demolitionist and Wellspring, it’s fantastic for ability regeneration and will benefit greatly from the damage buffs.

Trace Rifles

Trace rifles are getting significant buffs:

- Damage Increase: 20% against red bars, sidearms, scout rifles, and bows.

- Major Buff: Additional 20% damage against orange bars (majors).

 Recommended Trace Rifles

1. Ager's Scepter: With its intrinsic freeze mechanic, it will be much easier to trigger and maintain its freezing effect.

2. The Enigma's Draw: The only craftable stasis Trace rifle, perfect with perks like Overflow and Killing Tally.

3. Hollow Denial: A void Trace rifle with Lead from Gold + Killing Tally, ideal for running double special builds.

Sidearms, Scout Rifles, and Bows

1. Sidearms

- Heliocentric: With Incandescent, it will now reliably trigger on-death effects, increasing scorch and ignitions.

- Enyo-D: Potentially even more powerful if the 20% red bar damage applies to rocket sidearms.

2. Scout Rifles

- Hung Jury: Farmable now, with Kinetic Tremors and potentially Firefly, it’s great for red bar clearing and triggering explosions.

3. Bows

- Tyranny of Heaven: Craftable with Explosive Head + Incandescent, it will be excellent for ad clearing, especially in high-level content.

Exotic Weapons: Major Changes

1.Necrochasm

- Auto Rifles: Part of the 15% damage buff against red bars.

- Rework: Increased reload speed after precision kills, longer burn duration from Cursed Thrall explosions, and a new Catalyst providing increased damage, range, and aim assist.

 2.The Colony

- Rework: Spawns additional insectoid robots on final blows, scaling with tougher combatants. This could make it highly effective for ad clearing with continuous projectile spawning.
